Testing
Technology
TASC
utilizes state-of-the-art instrumentation for all drug analyses.
All initial drug screens are performed on multiple Olympus
AU2700 analyzers using Syva
EMIT II+ enzyme immunoassay (EIA) technology. Gas
chromatography/mass spectrometry (GCMS) confirmations are
performed in-house on Agilent
6890N/5973N GCMS analyzers.

Confirmations may consist of either a repeat analysis of the same
methodology or by GCMS, the latter being the method of choice in
the field of toxicology for confirmations. All corporate testing
samples are confirmed by GCMS analysis. Many criminal justice
agencies request only screening tests be performed initially, with
a subsequent GCMS |

confirmation
analysis upon request. In this case, TASC adheres to the good laboratory
practice of repeat analysis of all positive results by EIA. TASC recommends
that a GCMS analysis be performed on all positive samples whenever
possible or prudent. |

To ensure accuracy and reliability of test results, stringent quality
assurance and quality control procedures are followed. These programs
involve the maintenance of quality control testing, proper performance
and controls, calibrators and standards, and documentation relevant
to accuracy, validity, precision, performance and reliability of testing.
We contract with three SAMHSA
Administration) certified laboratories for clients and contracts
which require or request this degree of testing. |
